My Story
Two decades helping people make confident financial decisions
I've spent over 20 years in financial services, and in that time I've come to specialise in what I believe is one of the most important and most human areas of the profession: later life lending. Equity release, retirement interest only mortgages, and lifetime lending aren't just transactions — they're decisions that touch people's homes, their families, and their peace of mind in retirement.
That's exactly why this work matters so much to me. When someone in their seventies is thinking about releasing money from the home they've lived in for decades, they don't need a salesperson. They need someone who will sit down, take the time to understand their situation, explain everything in plain English, and tell them honestly whether it's the right thing to do — even when the honest answer is "not yet" or "not at all".
"The best advice I can give is sometimes to do nothing at all. That honesty is the foundation of everything I do."
A specialism built on trust
Over the years I've earned my CeMAP, CeRER and CeFA qualifications, and I'm proud to be a member of the Equity Release Council — the body that sets the consumer protection standards for the whole industry. These aren't just letters after my name. They mean every piece of advice I give meets a rigorous professional and ethical standard, and that the plans I recommend carry vital safeguards like the no negative equity guarantee and the guaranteed right to remain in your home for life.
As an independent, whole-of-market adviser, I'm not tied to any single lender. I compare options across all the major later life lenders — Aviva, Legal & General, LV=, Canada Life, Just, More2Life and others — to find what genuinely suits you, rather than what suits a particular provider.
Why I do this work
What I love most about later life lending is the difference it can make when it's done properly. I've helped clients clear mortgages that were weighing on their retirement, fund the home improvements that let them stay in a much-loved house, and give their children a meaningful helping hand at exactly the moment it mattered. I've also told plenty of people that equity release wasn't right for them, and helped them find a better path.
Based in Enfield, I work with homeowners across North London and, where it suits, throughout the country. Whether we meet in your living room, over a video call, or on the phone, my approach is always the same: unhurried, jargon-free, and entirely focused on what's best for you and your family.
